Domestic Short Hair-gray - Medium - Baby - Male - Cat - Pee Wee
Description
Pee Wee's life got off to a rough start. When a family contacted Brother Wolf for help with a litter of unwanted kittens, the babies had already been living outside on their concrete steps for their first few weeks. When their new foster mom arrived to take them home, she found Pee Wee curled in anempty food bowl, one eye sealed closed with a terrible untreated infection, and weighing just a little over half what his brothers did. With antibiotics, the infection cleared enough for the vet to determine that Pee Wee did still have an eye, but an ulcer had formed that completely obscured his vision. He gained almost a pound in a week on good food - nearly doubling his weight - and as his eyes grow and the ulcer remains the same size, the vet believes he has some peripheral vision. On the other end, Pee Wee also has a short tail, broken at a 90 degree angle. Luckily, this doesn't seem to bother him at all! Pee Wee might not be the loveliest kitten, and just being black makes his harder to adopt, but we're sure his perfect family is out there just waiting to take him home. He's a little shy at times but is coming around as his vision improves. He loves his brothers and it would be great for him to go home with one of them, or at least a home with another cat. Pee Wee is a special boy and has survived some hard times in his short life. Are you the special family that will love him just the way he is? He's waiting for you!
