Tobys Story Toby arrived at our home for a visit about 2 weeks ago. We believe he is about 8 months old, which in our eyes makes him a puppy. Upon arrival he was best described as afraid. He was afraid of his shadow, people, noises, lights and in general not trusting of the world. We think he lived outside for some time before being rescued which explains his concerns. What a change Toby has made. Today he has begun to trust people and will let you pet him with a little encouragement. He loves to have his belly rubbed and welcomes us each morning when we get up. He has even been known to curl up next to us as we watch TV in the evening. We have two dogs in our home and Toby is interacting with them wonderfully. Loves to play, have fun, and sniff them. He enjoys long walks and is totally trained with the leash. Toby has even learned to go in and out of the doggy door when he needs too and is careful to not bang his head as it swings back and forth. Absolutely, no aggression has ever been displayed. Toby has learned to either go outside or pace back in forward of the door to let us know it is time to take care of his business. Lately we have had no accidents. And having had other Foster dogs, we are thankful for that. Toby is and will be a loving pet to someone who will give him a home. He is young, eager to learn, and perhaps most importantly willing to give his love to his new family.
